Yes, you’re welcome to bring a support person with you to your appointment. In some cases, they may be asked to wait in the reception area during your scan to ensure safety and privacy.

An MRI scan usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the area being scanned. We’ll let you know the expected duration when you book.

We’ll send your results to your referring doctor, who will discuss them with you and guide you on the next steps in your care. Your images and reports will be available in the Alpenglow Australia Patient App approximately 7-10 days after your scan. Click here to learn more.

I couldn’t have wished for a better medical imaging service the Tamworth Medical Imaging, The staff was absolutely terrific, Early morning the place was already packed, the phones was ringing non stop, People coming & going. I had an appointment that was actually a day later & must have been some form of communication error. I said I was okay to come back the following day, I could see how busy the place was, The receptionist lady seen I was not from the area and said “ definitely not, I will get you in, I insisted, was all good, The receptionist lady, said “ No we will be able to fit you in, give me a moment, She zoomed off, spoke to the person she needed to speak to & that was that, I had my appointment, I didn’t even wait long. The professionalism, friendly, kind caring staff was amazing. I would certainly be using their services again. Thank you to the kind caring staff. Well done!!

I’ve had to have a few different scans here now & 2 CT guided injections and from the moment of calling reception I seem to reach Clarissa every time who goes above and beyond to help - she has honestly been a life saver on a couple of occasions now! The team I’ve had for both of my CT injections have all been so kind caring and compassionate even with me being a blubbering mess. I honestly cannot fault anyone here and highly recommend the entire team and cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and their assistance. Nothing seems to be an issue for anyone and they’re all more than willing to help.

I attended Tamworth Medical Imaging for an ultrasound appointment and my experience was exceptional. From the first moment I walked in, the administration team were warm and inviting and answered all of my questions. My sonographer, Ally, was the most kindhearted health care provider I have encountered in Tamworth. I am so grateful for the outstanding care that I received, and should I ever need to have another imaging procedure this is the only provider I will attend. Thank you!

My partner, Josephine Dawson has put this review online. I went to this place on the Monday after the Music Festival finished. I had a referral for an X-ray and then I ended up needing an ultrasound. I found ALL of the staff extremely helpful and caring. The v receptionist staff offered me suggestions and solutions, and I was able to book in for my ultrasound later on that day and I left there with confidence that nothing sinister was happening to my leg. The medical operators were professional and caring also. Thank you very much.
